Tantor Platform 6.0: redesigned user interface and integration with RuBackup

TANTOR LABS (part of ASTRA GROUP) presents the major version of Tantor Platform 6.0. The updated interface simplifies navigation, allows for easier configuration of workspace, and provides more flexible management of user privileges. Integration with RuBackup helps in managing the lifecycle of backup copies, reducing the need to switch between different services.
We completely redesigned the user interface and optimized navigation, simplifying access to all functions and settings. SQL editor, anonymizer, analytics modules, backup monitoring and other features are now aggregated in a single block, and as a result, developers and administrators can switch to the required functionality without complex transitions between pages and tabs. Unified pop-up windows and centralized configuration management provide intuitive predictability of actions, reduce the risk of errors, and speed up work. With flexible tables configuration, you can set up and adapt the workspace: pin tabs, hide some of the columns, or change their ordering.
Role-based access model is updated to support segregation of rights at the system level (new 'System Owner' role introduced) and at the levels of tenants, administrators, and viewers. This allows you to draw up strategic management, guarantee team independence, delegate routine tasks, and at the same time maintain a high level of information security and transparency during audits. Centralized role and group management with support for bulk assignments is now available.
We also implemented crucial improvements to simplify handling third-party services. So, in 6.0 version, for the first time, you can view all backup copies within the clusters and instances each marked with the outcome of its creation process thanks to integration with the Russian data protection and recovery solution RuBackup. Connecting to the corporate mail server to send e-mail notifications is now configured directly in the interface, and making changes to configuration files is no longer required.
In addition, in the new version, a number of interface and functional errors have been fixed. The improvements affected creating diagrams with server time skew, displaying statuses, start times of scheduled tasks, and analytics in the absence of some extensions. If the database is unavailable, now an error message appears, and also there are alerts, if users need to restart after applying certain parameters. Issues with the SQL editor and notification channels are removed. The system now reacts to changes correctly, and these and other fixes helped to more accurately display ongoing processes, and overall administrative operations are now more reliable.
